My name is Daniel Baker, and I am a freelance sound designer and music producer for the theater living in NYC. My recent designs include, Don Juan In Prague, at the Estates Theatre in Prague(coming to BAM's Next Wave Festival in December)with Matthew Suttor and Konrad Kaczmarek, The Prime of Miss Jean Broadie, directed by Scott Elliot and, Everythings Turning into Beautiful, directed by Carl Forsman at The New Group, Theophilus North, directed by Carl Forsman at The Keen Company, The Cataract, at Women's Project with director Katie Pearl, Iron Kisses, at Geva Theater with director Stephanie Gilman, Private Lives, at the Long Wharf with director Kim Rubenstein, and the Obie award-winning production of The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow with director Jackson Gay at the Atlantic Theater as well as its subsequent productions at Portland Center Stage and San Jose Rep, (directed Kim Rubenstein)and at Actors Theater in Phoenix (directed by Matthew Wiener.) Many of these productions have featured original scores created by The Broken Chord Collective, which I formed last year with composer/performers Matthew Suttor and Mark Dancigers. I am very excited about my Winter and Spring collaborations with Kim Rubenstein at the Long Wharf, Loretta Greco at Women's Project, Brian Mertes at Julliard, David Muse at Arena Stage and Jackson Gay at Rattlestick Theater. Witness Broken Chord's Matthew and Daniel in Prague:
